Fab Desserts For Sweet Mom This Mother's Day

There may be no better way to show your mom how much you appreciate her tender care and sweetness than by preparing sweet treats that would make Mother's Day truly special!

We've chosen the most delectable homemade desserts the color of scarlet to symbolize a Mother's love. (For foodies whose moms are trying to stay away from too much sugar, the sugar in the recipes can be easily substituted with calorie-free or sugar-free sweeteners like stevia).

Let's start off with the luscious red velvet chocolate chip cookies from Kirbie's Cravings. It's a lavish and sophisticated twist on the traditional American favorite.

Speaking of cream cheese, A Beautiful Mess published a recipe for cheesecake truffles that are yummy and expensive looking, but are surprisingly pretty easy to make.

No-bake Cheesecake Truffles (from A Beautiful Mess)
1 box no-bake cheesecake
1 can pie filling (jam, Nutella, or other spreads can also be used)
1 package candy melts
sprinkles or melted white chocolate for drizzling

The no-bake cheesecake is made by following package instructions and topped with filling. A melon baller is used to scoop out round cheesecakes with filling. Each frozen cheesecake ball is dipped in red candy melts and left out to set before drizzled with white chocolate.
