It's no secret that guys love sports. If Mom likes to relax in the salon or the spa, Dad is a lot more low maintenance - give him a comfy couch and a nice ball game to watch and he's a happy camper.
This Father's Day, why not treat dad to snacks that he could nibble on while watching his favorite sport? Evite has a great idea for hosting a game ball viewing party bar. This is a great idea if your dad has friends or relatives coming over to watch sports. (Hint: there's a Cavaliers vs. Warriors game on Sunday, so there's a huge chance they will tune in to that).
Put out your dad's favorite things to munch in when watching sports like nuts or trail mix. If would never hurt to throw in healthy snacks as well, including fruit slices and bite sized vegies with dip or hummus.
Make ordinary snacks seem festive by putting them in cookie jars. It's also a great idea to put out small bowls where the guys can put their load of peanuts or trail mix before getting back into the couch for the game.
If your dad is doing a solo sports viewing couch session, forgo the whole buffet-style half time snacks spread and to fix him something special instead. This seven-layer dip from The Girl Who Ate Everything is definitely a winner.
