Avocado toast has been a popular food trend these past few years. And with all the health benefits of the creamy, yellow-green fruit, it's not surprising why.

According to Authority Nutrition, avocado contains folate, potassium, and Vitamins C, K, B5, B6 and E. Every serving also offers Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Phosphorous, Vitamin A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin).

Not to mention, avocado is delicious and has a very unique, mild taste that goes perfect with sandwich fillings including lean meat, vegetables and egg. For those who are fond of toasts or baked sandwiches, it would be a great idea to use a non-stick mat to line your baking sheet. This will cut your clean-up time in half!
