Homemade Cherry Jam (Veena Azmanov)

This Homemade Cherry Jam recipe from Veena Azmanov is a lovely jam recipe that only takes four ingredients to make - cherries, sugar, lemon juice and butter. If you're trying to avoid sugar, you can substitute natural sweeteners like Stevia or coconut sugar in place of the regular sugar.

Ingredients: 

  • Cherries – 1 kg (2 1/4 lbs)
  • Sugar – 500 grams (2 1/2 Cup)
  • Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp

Homemade Tart Cranberry Jam in Ten Minutes (Cupcake Project)

Cupcake Project has a recipe called Homemade Tart Cranberry Jam in Ten Minutes. And this recipe really gives you a jar of delicious, wholesome homemade jam in a jiffy! It also requires just a few ingredients - cranberries, sugar, butter, orange zest and liquid pectin.

"This SIMPLE cranberry jam was as good as, if not better than, any store-bought jam I’ve had.  Knowing what I now know about how easy it is to make, I don’t know why I’d ever buy it again.  This same technique would work with all different kinds of berries."

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound frozen or fresh cranberries
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar if you prefer a sweeter jam, you can add more sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest optional
  • 3 tablespoons liquid fruit pectin be sure to use the liquid kind and not the powdered kind
