St. Patrick's Day Food: Healthy Green Tea Cookies

You've seen it coming... Of course, we're featuring something green for our St. Patrick's Day food series!

Today's recipe for green-colored cookies is not laden with food coloring. Instead, it is colored with green tea powder or matcha which is a lot healthier alternative, and gives the treats a good, hearty flavor. 

Healthy cooking expert, health coach and TV host Jennifer Iserloh of Skinny Chef published a healthy recipe for green tea cookies called Irish Drop Cookies. With low sugar and a combination of all purpose and whole wheat flour, these cookies have 107 calories per serving - very good for guests who may be keeping tabs on their food and calorie intake at your St. Patrick's Day party. listed down some of the many health benefits of matcha including cancer prevention, anti-ageing and anti-inflammation properties, lowering bad cholesterol, weight loss, and detoxification.
