Healthy And Easy-to-make Halloween Treats

Halloween festivities don't need to be all sugar and empty calories. You can also serve fruity treats on your party table without boring the guests. Here are some exciting healthy Halloween treat recipes that are so easy to make!


Halloween Fruit Treats (Kitchen Simmer)

"I know my kids will still love a candy bar from time to time.. but it's nice that the fruit treats were so enthusiastically enjoyed by them too.  I hope you like what the kids cooked up this time!"

Ingredients for Orange Pumpkins:

  • Seedless clementine or mandarin oranges
  • Celery and with celery leaves
  • *optional (regular and mini chocolate chips to make jack-o-lantern face)

Ingredients for Apple and Peanut Butter Teeth:

  • Apples sliced
  • Note: soak cut apples in a bowl of water and 1 tsp of salt solution to keep from browning
  • Creamy Peanut Butter
  • Mini Marshmallows

Ingredients for Banana Ghosts:

  • Yellow banana (firm)
  • Mini chocolate chips for eyes
  • Regular chocolate chips for mouth

Easy and Healthy Halloween Treats (Natural Noshing)

"In case you and your family are on sugar overload like me from chocolate and candy, here are three healthy but festive snack ideas that are both fun and easy to throw together- no added sugars, just fruit with a bit of protein from the nut butter and string cheese: Apricot Fruit Bugs, Apple Bites and Ghost Cheese🙂"

Ingredients for Apple-Nut Butter Teeth:

  • 2 apples (I used two Granny Smith)
  • handful of sliced or blanched almonds or raisins, cut in half or sunflower seeds
  • lemon juice (to help prevent turning brown), optional but for aesthetics
  • your favorite nut or seed butter, homemade or store-bought

Ingredients for Apricot Fruit Bugs: 

  • 6 packages all-natural fruit leather (I used Stretch Island Fruit Snacks, grape flavor but any will do)
  • 16 dried apricots
  • sesame seeds OR sunflower seeds OR currants OR melted coconut butter for eyes

Ingredients for Ghost Cheese:

  • String cheese
  • currants, small pieces of raisins or other dried fruit or black olives for eyes
