It's National Mousse Day! Try These Easy Recipes To Celebrate

  

There are only a few things in life more exciting and delectable than a glass of perfectly foamy  mousse. Translated in French as "foam" or "froth," this luscious whipped cream dessert is a feast for the palate!

Here three good recipes for mousse desserts - whether you're a fruit lover, a foodie on the go (yes, you can whip up a mousse dessert with just three ingredients), or a connoisseur of anything classic. Enjoy! 

 

Vanilla Pannacotta With Mango Mousse (Whisk Affair)

Vanilla Pannacotta with Mango Mousse

"You can surely make Vanilla Pannacotta with Mango Mousse for your kids’ slumber parties; after all, children love eating mangoes."

Ingredients:
For Pannacotta

  • Heavy cream - 500 ml
  • Granulated sugar - 5 tbsp
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Gelatin powder - 2 tsp
  • Cold water - 6 tbsp

For Middle mango layer

  • Mango -1 ( cut into small pieces )
  • Mango puree - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp ( Add only if using unsweetened mango puree )
  • Gelatin - 2 tsp
  • Cold water - 6 tbsp

For mango mousse

  • Mango puree - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 5 tbsp ( use only if using unsweetened mango puree )
  • Whipped cream - 2 cups
  • Gelatin - 2 tsp
  • Cold water - 6 tbsp

3-Ingredient Mason Jar Chocolate Mousse (The Recipe Rebel)

The easiest chocolate mousse made completely in a mason jar -- no mixer required! -- with only 3 ingredients! So simple and SO good!

"This is a super simple recipe to customize! You could add some instant coffee to the warm cream mixture for mocha, any extracts you love, use any kind of chocolate you love, mix in crushed cookies or candies or whatever you want!"

Ingredients:
  • 1 ounce or about 30 grams chopped chocolate
  • 1//2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

TIP: Make dessert making time extra neat by using silicone icing / piping bag. These are durable, reusable, and could last for years! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Low-Carb and Gluten-Free Mocha Mousse (All Day I Dream About Food)

 

Low carb chocolate mousse

"The coffee was the perfect complement to offset the chocolate.  It was incredibly rich, but the texture was amazingly light.   My kids were over the moon to have it for dessert and have already been clamoring for me to make it again." 

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 4 large eggs, separated and at room temperature
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup strongly brewed coffee
  • 6 tbsp powdered erythritol, divided
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 15 drops stevia extract
