Valentines is around the corner and it's the perfect time to whip up a sweet treat for your family to celebrate the day!

Valentines is usually celebrated by couples in love. In fact, says Valentine's Day is the second most popular card-sending holiday after Christmas with approximately 150 million cards are exchanged every year.

However, there's no reason why Heart's Day can not be spent with the entire family. bake a batch of whatever Valentines cookie bar fancies you, sit with your loved ones and indulge in these treats with a glass of milk. Valentines can't be cozier than that!


Fluffy Valentine Sugar Cookie Bars (Joy in Our Home)

This is a fun cookie bar to bake and eat on Valentines Day. The pink buttercream icing is luscious, while the colorful sprinkles just make it too cute! Kids will surely love this yummy treat.

Sugar Cookie Bars

  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the buttercream icing

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 and ½ cups icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons cream or milk
  • Food coloring and sprinkles, if desired

Valentine Blondie Bars (Moms Need to Know)

This is a great blondie bar recipe to make with your kids. Children will surely enjoy dumping chocolates and Valentine's M&Ms in sweet cookie dough. It's a great after-school snack to make and eat with the whole family not just on Valentines, but any time of the year.

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

  • 2 cup Flour

  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
