Energize Your Body

Tales of a Kitchen has a recipe for a green smoothie that combines fresh fruits (bananas and strawberries) with Matcha green tea for a super-energizing drink that will keep you on top of your tasks for the day.

Handful of fresh mint leaves
1 banana
1 orange, peeled & pitted
handful of strawberries
1 tsp Matcha green tea
1 TBSP chia seeds

Improve Your Digestive System

One good way to keep the balance in your gastrointestinal tract is by consuming yogurt which has good bacteria. If you're not a fan of plain yogurt, then this smoothie pops recipe might do you good.

Food For Glowing Skin

There may be a whole lot of makeup innovations today - from BB creams to pore minimizing gels to HD foundation - but any makeup artist would tell you that nothing beats the glow of clear, healthy skin. But why not revisit what fresh produce can do to give you that youthful glow that no expensive makeup can come at par with? Sally's Baking Addition has a recipe for a fruity treat called "Sunshine Smoothie" which offers a nice blend of banana, pineapple, orange and mango.

1 frozen ripe banana, previously peeled & sliced
1/4 cup orange juice
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
1 cup frozen mango chunks
1/2 cup frozen or fresh pineapple chunks

Boost Concentration

There are just days when concentrating on something seems impossible. But hold your horses on getting that extra cup of coffee! There are a lot more healthier choices that could help you sharpen your concentration without loading your body with caffeine.

One fresh fruit that could boost concentration is avocado. The monounsaturated fats in this green fruit help improve the performance of neurons, making it a great snack to munch on when studying or preparing for a presentation.

Food That Induce Sleep

If getting forty winks is your problem at night, then you might want to change your evening snacking habits. One fruit that can help you sleep better are cherries, which help regulate sleeping paterns.

Homemade Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom
Ingredients:
6 safest choice pasteurized eggs
2 cups sugar plus 1/2 cup sugar (divided)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons good quality vanilla
6 cups milk (Your choice of whole or 2% milk, half n half, heavy cream- I always just use 2%, but the higher the fat content of the milk, the creamier the ice cream will be.)
12 to 16 oz of fresh or frozen pitted cherries.
